Young people and elderly are specifically most affected. At night, when things aren't visible; you can't sense danger. You aren't able to tell whether something could happen, and something can happen. 

Lives could possibly be at stake, you never know who is waiting for you around the corner. Personal belongings are at stake, they could easily be stolen, and you wouldn't be able to call appropriate authority before seeing somebody in there, because you couldn't see. As well as people walking past, they wouldn't know your life is at stake. 

Now is the time to act. Now is the time we work with locals to create safety in our area, now is the time we prevent robberies or in the worse cases lives lost. It is time to act on this, and quick!
