
Asia is one of the most diverse continents when it comes to food. From different countries, there are completely different dishes and ingredients that are staples even for us in the UK. Join me as we take one of our last journeys around food.
Starting in India, there are many curries which are often served with naan bread, a flatbread that can be served plain or with fruit. You can also find samosas, which are fried or baked pastries with a savoury filling.
In Japan, some of their famous dishes are made with fish, such as sushi, which includes fish, rice, and other ingredients like seaweed. You can also find ramen, a type of noodle served in a broth with optional toppings like vegetables and meat.
Last but not least is China, home to many dishes that may not be as popular in our country. A good example of this is Anhui cuisine, which uses wild herbs and mountain-sourced ingredients, especially cooked by slow braising.
