Just before the school year ended, GCSE and A-level exams did too. Young people are moving on from high school to achieve higher in life, whether that be a job, higher education or a gap year, and this is something to celebrate truly. Most students receiving results would have been in Year 6 when the first COVID-19 lockdowns were announced, so they were unable to receive a proper education. Despite this disruption, the people who are the future of Ellesmere Port dedicated their time towards learning and excelling even further academically. Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson said that she expects a "pretty straightforward year" for students as things have "returned to normal" since the pandemic. Almost more than a million youngsters will be receiving their results throughout August, with some being received later throughout the month (vocational exams).
