Are Dinosaurs Real?

In many films like Jurassic Park, as well as in books and games, dinosaurs can be a key element. There are many different types of dinosaurs, and while they are often grouped with reptiles and related to birds, some people see them as a myth made up for fun. Is this true?

Even though there are no dinosaurs on Earth now, we can look back approximately 66 million years to find evidence. This includes skeletons, bones, and other remains that have survived over millions of years for us to see today.

We have found much evidence supporting the fact that dinosaurs did exist in these forms, which means that they are real. Sadly, however, the dinosaurs were wiped out by an asteroid or another major event that we cannot be 100% sure about.

We are still finding more fossils today that support research into new dinosaurs that would have lived back then. They ranged from tiny, harmless, chicken-sized animals to huge, carnivorous beasts.

If you are interested in dinosaurs and other events in the past, there are opportunities to get involved. You could get a job digging up fossils, which is known as archaeology, or you could simply learn more by researching, reading books, or articles like this one.
