How To Keep Yourself Healthy

Health can be seen as many different things, like what you eat or how much you exercise, but the reality is your health isn't just one thing. Think that you're driving a car, and all the parts of the car are parts of your health. Your car needs certain parts to run, and even if one thing isn't right, it won't work, so how can we make sure everything is right?

The first part of your health is physical health, which entails your physical activities and what you eat. Think of this like the engine. It needs to be efficient and have lots of fuel to work. You can achieve these things by keeping a balanced diet and exercising regularly; this can be anything from small walks to a sport.

Also part of your physical health is how much sleep you get per night. It is recommended that anyone under 13 gets 9+ hours of sleep and anyone 13 or older gets 8+ hours of sleep. Sleep lets you charge up, ready for your next day, so get lots of it.

The next part is your mental health (how you feel). Think of this as how fast you are going; too fast and you might crash. The best way to maintain good mental health is to do things that make you happy but not too much of them. This can be your hobby or interest, but things like gaming can't be done all the time; otherwise, you may get addicted and play too much.

Lastly is your emotional health, which is how you socialise and feel around others; this is like who's in the car with you. If you want good emotional health, you can make nice friends and spend time with them. Remember, it's okay to spend lots of time with one friend, but it's also okay to socialise with lots of friends.

The conclusion is that your health is very important, and if you don't know what to do to make it good, then you can't control it. Start small and maybe change a few things, like talk to more people, play a few less games, go to bed half an hour earlier or eat something healthier.
