Hello, I am Jasmine Anglesea-Jones and I am a writer for Ellesmere Port News!

I have been passionate about writing since I was 9 years old, and I have recently won a debate competition for my school, as well as having multiple of my short stories/poems published in books, as part of competitions, I also enjoy acting, and frequently take part in my school's productions!

Jasmine's writing skills are like no others'. In her hiring application, she explained how much she has made an impact to our local community. She has represented her school in the Rotary Club Youth Speaks Debate Competition for two years and won 2025's, she likes public speaking and take part in her school production's which shows her dedication. Her love for writing is clearly reflected when she had been published in books as part of competitions.

Young boy, Hunter, prevents fire

While walking through Whitby Park, a young boy, Hunter Grannell, and his mother spotted smoke in the nearby trees. The heroic duo investigated and soon found a pit, full of logs and covered with a metal sheet. It was a fire.

PALS' VE Day Plans 2025

Victory in Europe (or VE) Day is celebrated on the 8th of May and recognises the acceptance by allies of Germany’s surrender during WWII on a national day of remembrance; maybe you should do something for your community. Such as litter-picking!
