Guidelines

We are delighted that you are considering inviting us to your event. To ensure a smooth and successful collaboration, please read our guidelines carefully. This page provides important information about our team, safeguarding policies, and what we look for in events. Your understanding helps us maintain our standards and deliver coverage & content to Ellesmere Port.

Understanding our team

It is important for all event organisers to know that Ellesmere Port News team is run entirely by children. We are passionate about reporting local news and bringing the stories of Ellesmere Port to life. When you invite us to your event, you will be interacting with young, enthusiastic journalists committed to factual reporting.

Our safeguarding commitment

As our team consists of children, safeguarding is our utmost priority. We operate under a strict policy that requires two members of our team to attend every event. This ensures both their safety and our ability to cover your event. We also require event organisers to be aware of any medical conditions/allergies relevant to our attending team members, which will be communicated prior to the event.

What makes a good event?

Ellesmere Port News is dedicated to highlighting positive events within our community. We are looking for events that bring people together, celebrate local achievements, support good causes, or offer enriching experiences for residents. We aim to publish content within 72 hours of an event, ensuring our coverage is always fresh and relevant. If your event aligns with these values, we would love to hear from you!
